Import Pricing Guide
No dealer markup. No hidden fees. Just the real cost of getting a quality van to Australia.
The Case for Going Direct
When you buy from an Australian dealer, you're paying their margin on top of an exporter's margin on top of the actual auction price. That's two sets of profit stacked on the same van. With Bare Camper you pay the actual auction price plus a single flat fee. The saving is typically $5,000–$10,000 on the same quality van — or you put those savings into a significantly better van.
Indicative figures based on a ¥1,500,000 Hiace H200. Actual savings vary by vehicle and exchange rate.

Real Numbers
Based on a ¥2,000,000 H200 LWB Hiace (approx $19,000 AUD at ¥105 to $1)
| Item | AUD |
|---|---|
| Vehicle (¥2,000,000 @ ~¥105/$1) | $19,048 |
| Bare Camper fee | $3,000 |
| Shipping | $2,500 |
| GST (10% on ~$21,548) | $2,155 |
| Customs entry + BMSB | $360 |
| Compliance (inc transport + safety cert) | $1,800 |
| Total landed & complied | ~$28,863 |
Compare this to a similar quality Hiace from an Australian dealer: $33,000 – $38,000
That's a saving of $4,000–$9,000 on the same quality van — or a much better van for the same money.
